- GED or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Clean classrooms and offices
- clean restrooms and locker rooms
- fill soap, paper towel, toilet paper and other dispensers
- clean indoor common areas such as ramps, patios, entryways, atriums, stairways, elevators, hallways, and balconies
- sweep and mop hard floors
- vacuum carpets
- empty and clean trash cans and ash urns
- clean glass, windows, and sills
- clean whiteboards and trays
- wipe down furniture including tables, desks, and chairs
- clean and polish handrails, metal trim and drinking fountains
- clean walls, ceilings, corners, edges, baseboards, chair rails, doors, and frames
- polish doorknobs, frames, and kick plates
- dust and clean vents and light covers
- ensure all lights are off and doors secured after cleaning duties
- remove graffiti
- keep custodial closet clean and organized
- keep custodial equipment clean and maintained
- respond to emergency calls and clean up after floods and spills using proper PPE
- report problems and damage
- clean outdoor common areas including patios, atriums, stairways, and balconies
- responsible for snow removal and ice melt application in winter
- perform standard custodial tasks using established methods
- complete all required SLCC, Facilities, and Custodial training
- other duties as assigned
