Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of custodial cleaning practices and basic maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on an intermittent basis
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, walking, crouching, and squatting

Job Duties
- Restroom cleaning including emptying trash baskets, cleaning sinks and mirrors, replacing toilet paper rolls, refilling supplies, washing floors, wiping down walls weekly
- Office and interior cleaning including dusting offices weekly, emptying trash baskets daily, wet mopping hallway and office floors weekly, vacuuming office floors weekly, disinfecting phone receivers monthly, cleaning office windows as needed, changing AC filters and cleaning drain lines as needed, washing door jambs weekly
- Employee kitchen and break areas cleaning including wiping down kitchen cabinets, cleaning inside and outside of microwave, wiping down coffee stand, cleaning sinks, mopping or vacuuming floors as needed, cleaning out employee refrigerator monthly
- Exterior and grounds maintenance including picking up litter on premises, clearing front and side walkways, clearing outside patio, wiping down patio tables weekly, weeding flower beds as needed, replacing light bulbs, filters, and minor fixtures
- Maintenance duties with prior approval including pressure washing, replacing or repairing toilet tank components, minor sink repairs such as replacing sink faucet, assembling furniture as needed, gardening, tree training in the garden, light repairs as requested by manager
- Assisting with needs of Senior Campus Hall such as setting up and taking down furniture including tables and chairs
- Picking up supplies from home improvement stores and other vendors as needed
- Walking around the perimeter of the building once a week to remove trash
- Assisting with custodial coverage at either location when needed
- Performing assigned duties under the direction of the President/CEO during declared disaster or state of emergency according to the COASL Disaster Preparedness Plan to ensure health, safety, and welfare of elderly clients
- Displaying initiative by presenting new ideas to supervisors to benefit the Council, its staff, and clients
- Maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with supervisors, co-workers, staff, clients, and the general public
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Administrative Manager
