Job Requirements

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent preferred
  • At least six months paid experience in custodial or housekeeping work
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Texas driver license within 90 days
  • Pass fingerprint criminal background check
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Pass registry checks including Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System and other applicable registries
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk on hard floors for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent preferred
  • At least six months paid experience in custodial or housekeeping work required
  • One year paid experience in custodial or housekeeping work preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental health disorders preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk on hard floors for extended periods
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Valid Texas driver license or ability to obtain within 90 days

Job Duties

  • Attend work regularly and work specific shift schedules including possible overtime and rotating shifts
  • Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and records of usage
  • Perform cleaning, dusting, disinfecting, and waste disposal in restrooms, offices, resident homes, and other areas
  • Inspect buildings and ensure compliance with cleanliness, health, safety, and infection control standards
  • Assist in safety and infection control programs and supervise Custodians I and II when required
  • Participate in disaster response, recovery, or continuity of operations activation when needed
  • Provide training and coaching to custodial staff as needed
