Job Requirements
- One year of paid experience in custodial and maintenance work preferably in a school district, equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, must score 70 percent or better on the Custodian I Examination, possession of a valid Class C California Motor Vehicle Operator's License, must submit an original current certified California DMV record check, condition of employment insurability by the district's liability insurance carrier

- One year of paid custodial and maintenance experience preferably in a school district, equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, possession of a valid Class C California Motor Vehicle Operator's License, ability to pass the Custodian I Examination with a score of 70 percent or better, submission of a certified California DMV record check, insurability by the district's liability insurance carrier
Job Duties
- Maintain assigned school facilities, sweep mop strip wax and seal floors, vacuum rugs and carpets, dust wash and polish furniture and woodwork, empty and clean waste receptacles, clean restrooms locker rooms and other facilities, wash windows and walls polish metalwork and clean whiteboards, move and arrange furniture and equipment for special events, replace light bulbs and lighting tubes, clean window coverings such as drapes and blinds, pick up paper and debris from school grounds, sweep concrete surfaces adjacent to buildings, perform emergency cleanup services, raise and lower flags lock and unlock gates and doors set security systems, assist in receiving and distributing supplies and equipment, perform minor maintenance tasks, occasionally perform routine ground maintenance, assist in reporting and preventing facility vandalism, perform other related duties as required
