Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred
  • Ability to work Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and use hand coordination regularly
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate city vehicles
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of standard cleaning products and equipment
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Comfortable working non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently
  • Basic maintenance skills such as replacing light bulbs and performing minor repairs
  • Good communication skills to interact with the public and staff

Job Duties

  • Move and arrange tables, chairs, and heavy objects to set up City facilities for meetings and events
  • Open facilities by unlocking doors and turning on lights, security systems, and air conditioning
  • Secure facilities after use by locking doors and turning off equipment
  • Monitor facilities for safety hazards and clean up spills or obstructions
  • Operate floor maintenance equipment such as buffers and polishers
  • Deliver supplies and equipment and monitor events to maintain cleanliness and safety
  • Perform light maintenance tasks including replacing light bulbs and minor repairs
  • Replenish sanitary supplies and stock materials
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of vehicles and report operational issues
  • Prepare and write reports including detailed Risk Management incident reports
