Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or other educational background necessary for position
- Knowledge of proper cleaning practices and procedures in an educational environment
- Ability to perform semi-skilled building and equipment repairs
- Ability to use landscape and snow removal equipment
- Physical capability to handle very heavy demands
- Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolding
- Must be available to work second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas
- Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, graffiti removal, waxing, scrubbing, stripping, polishing, window cleaning, and trash removal
- Performs outdoor tasks including snow and ice removal, mowing, trimming, edging, leaf raking, sweeping and cleaning parking lots and playgrounds, cleaning roof drains, and removing litter and graffiti
- Sanitizes restrooms
- Performs interior and exterior painting
- Executes written and oral instructions
- Maintains custodial closets and storerooms
- Secures buildings and equipment
- Maintains and marks athletic fields
- Inspects and maintains life safety equipment
- Climbs and works from ladders and scaffolding
- Performs minor maintenance tasks such as changing lamps, ceiling tiles, and various repairs
- Sets up and breaks down equipment for events and activities
- Reports building deficiencies and damages promptly
- Maintains and operates pool facilities to ensure safety and water quality
- Performs other delegated duties as assigned
