Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform medium to heavy physical work
- experience with custodial equipment and cleaning materials
- availability to work early morning shifts
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- pass pre-employment medical and tuberculosis exams
- valid authorization to work in the United States
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- ability to follow safety procedures
- ability to perform manual labor
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- basic maintenance skills
- ability to handle hazardous materials safely
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, and seal floors
- vacuum rugs and carpets
- dust, wash, polish, and disinfect furniture and facility woodwork
- empty and clean waste receptacles
- clean and sanitize restrooms daily
- clean food containers and kitchen areas
- wash windows and walls
- move and arrange furniture for special events
- replace light bulbs and lighting tubes
- pick up debris from school grounds
- perform emergency clean-up as needed
- assist with fire extinguisher inspections
- perform minor maintenance tasks
- participate in ground maintenance
- set up and clean stadium for events
- pressure wash outdoor areas
- prepare and submit monthly safety reports
- respond to alarms and emergency situations
- assist in preventing facility vandalism
