Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- valid California Driver's License
- forklift certification within one year of employment
- ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- ability to push or pull objects up to 120 pounds occasionally
- ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and twist for extended periods
- ability to operate custodial equipment and machinery
- basic computer skills
- sensitivity to diverse populations
- willingness to work evening and overnight shifts
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of modern cleaning methods
- ability to perform minor non-technical repairs
- forklift certification required within one year of employment
- valid California Driver's License
- basic computer skills for accessing emails and work orders
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to work independently and with team members
- sensitivity to diverse academic and cultural backgrounds
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning duties in assigned areas
- participate in event setups and takedowns
- move furniture for office and classroom reconfigurations
- conduct deep cleaning assignments during recess or vacation periods
- operate and maintain custodial equipment safely
- restock restroom and locker room supplies
- make minor non-technical repairs
- inspect fire extinguishers and emergency lights monthly
- report safety hazards, vandalism, and maintenance needs
- operate a light truck and forklift
- oversee and train assigned student helpers and substitutes
- attend shift meetings and safety trainings
