Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write and follow simple instructions
- Prior custodial experience is not required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must comply with drug testing policies
- Ability to work in exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture and cleaning chemicals
- Must be available to work extended hours and mandatory overtime when required
Job Qualifications
- Minimal fundamental level of literacy and ability to follow oral instructions
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required
- Ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Willingness to adhere to safety and drug testing policies
- No previous custodial experience required, but preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment in accordance with core values of integrity, courtesy and respect
Job Duties
- Performs janitorial services including floor mopping, polishing, stripping and waxing
- rug vacuuming and shampooing
- furniture dusting and polishing
- window washing
- and furniture unloading and moving
- Cleans restrooms
- Empties trash and sets out for collection
- Monitoring inventory control of cleaning supplies and maintains cleaning equipment
- Performs other related maintenance/janitorial services as requested
