Job Requirements
- high school diploma or G.E.D is required
- must be physically able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds
- must be physically able to operate a variety of janitorial equipment including floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
- must pass Michigan State Police Clearance check
- must pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen
- must pass pre-employment physical
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or G.E.D
- experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- ability to operate janitorial equipment safely
- good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- perform cleaning duties in CMHA-CEI facilities including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
- operate janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
- assist with minor maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and fixing minor repairs
- follow all CMHA-CEI policies and procedures ensuring compliance
- coordinate with property and facilities supervisors for daily task assignments
- maintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial supplies and storage areas
- report any facility issues or hazards promptly to supervisors
