Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or G.E.D is required
  • must be physically able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds
  • must be physically able to operate a variety of janitorial equipment including floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
  • must pass Michigan State Police Clearance check
  • must pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen
  • must pass pre-employment physical

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or G.E.D
  • experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
  • ability to operate janitorial equipment safely
  • good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • ability to follow directions and work under supervision
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • perform cleaning duties in CMHA-CEI facilities including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • operate janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
  • assist with minor maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and fixing minor repairs
  • follow all CMHA-CEI policies and procedures ensuring compliance
  • coordinate with property and facilities supervisors for daily task assignments
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial supplies and storage areas
  • report any facility issues or hazards promptly to supervisors
