Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum one year experience in custodial and/or event cleaning activities
- Valid CPR and basic first aid certification
- Blood borne pathogen (BBP) training
- Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized cleaning equipment safely
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Effective communication skills to interact with visitors and team members
- Commitment to following safety protocols and operational procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of one year experience in custodial and/or event cleaning activities
- Valid CPR and Basic First Aid certification
- Blood Borne Pathogen (BBP) Training
- Familiarity with GBAC STAR Accreditation and other cleaning, disinfection, and disease prevention programs is preferred
Job Duties
- Collect trash from receptacles within and outside of the facility and dispose into the appropriate collection equipment
- Provide on-going custodial cleaning and maintenance of the facility during SCC events
- Perform established custodial cleaning routines as assigned by management
- Operate motorized equipment including vacuum cleaners, pallet jacks, scrubbers, buffers, carpet cleaners, sweepers and forklifts
- Transport and use non-motorized equipment such as mops, brooms, spray bottles and personal protective equipment
- Perform all assignments with attention to the safe operation of equipment and supplies
- Immediately report all accidents/incidents and complete necessary paperwork
- Exercise proper storage and care of tools and equipment and report defective equipment
- Assist in snow and ice removal as per plan
- Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance and uniform
- Respond to visitor and staff inquiries courteously
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification
- Use two-way radio effectively and adhere to radio codes and FCC regulations
- Maintain knowledge of facility layout and emergency exits
- Follow instructions, remain in assigned areas and maintain communication with supervisors
- Work effectively as a team member to ensure successful operations
- Perform general maintenance duties including restocking supplies and cleaning restrooms
- Perform miscellaneous related duties as directed by management
