Job Requirements

  • Be a citizen of the United States or resident alien with the right to work in the United States
  • have or be eligible for a high school diploma or valid equivalency certificate within one year of date-of-hire
  • have a minimum of six months full-time paid work experience preferably custodial, janitorial, laborer, or maintenance work
  • be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • Sweep, mop, wax, and buff floors
  • change light bulbs and clean light fixtures
  • wash walls, windows, and blinds
  • dust surfaces and other areas
  • caulk and paint as needed
  • maintain restrooms
  • set up auditoriums and meeting rooms for functions
  • clean mops, pails, and other equipment
  • accept deliveries and distribute supplies
  • assist staff in City facilities
