Job Requirements
- Ability to speak effectively and communicate in English
- education, training or experience sufficient to demonstrate required knowledge, skill and abilities
- successful completion of background checks including FBI and State Police criminal history investigations, child protective services investigation, tuberculosis screening, and skills assessment
- physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
- willingness to work Monday through Friday
- flexibility to work after hours, weekends and holidays as needed
- ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl regularly
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and cleaning standards
- ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment
- ability to read, communicate, understand and follow written instructions in standard English
- ability to write simple sentences and comprehend labeling on products
- ability to work safely and efficiently with machinery
- basic computer and keyboarding skills
Job Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including inside fixtures, floors, walls, and windows
- assist with school lunch coverage and cafeteria cleaning
- move furniture, strip floors, remove snow, and handle trash removal
- monitor halls and restrooms to ensure adequate stock levels
- secure the building by unlocking and locking facilities
- keep grounds and outside walkways clean around the building perimeter
- provide coverage for after school and weekend activities
- set up and tear down for school events
- assist Building Operations Supervisor and maintenance personnel with building repairs occasionally
- report maintenance issues and preventive repairs daily
- perform other related duties as assigned
