Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and refinish floors
- clean, dust, and polish furniture
- wash windows and walls
- clean restrooms
- dispose of rubbish
- change lights
- pick up litter within schools and on grounds
- perform minor repair and maintenance as authorized
- remove dirt and markings from surfaces
- perform minor painting on school areas
- advise principal or operations manager on mechanical and maintenance issues
- ensure safety during inclement weather
- apply cleaning chemicals safely
- adhere to safety procedures for cleaning and equipment use
- secure the building at all times
- initiate and follow-up on maintenance requests
- inspect facility and equipment to detect hazards
- keep equipment in good repair and cleanliness
- maintain inventory and request supplies
- conserve energy and suggest improvements
- protect equipment from theft or abuse
- verify emergency equipment maintenance
- assist in emergency planning and response
- perform additional assigned duties
