Job Requirements
- Related job experience demonstrating work ethic and teamwork
- General cleaning knowledge
- Basic computer skills including ability to operate a computer, navigate operating system interface and use Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of and ability to speak, understand, read and write basic English
- Valid Oregon driver’s license

- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of custodial experience preferred
- Commercial cleaning background preferred
- Knowledge and experience of floor care practices preferred
Job Duties
- Provide a clean environment for staff, visitors and patients including carpet vacuuming and edging
- Dust all surfaces
- Perform dust mopping, wet mopping, and sweeping
- Remove litter and clean glass on doors and windows
- Wash walls, doorframes, and window ledges
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, break areas and kitchens
- Refill dispensers, carts and shelves with supplies
- Remove waste and clean containers, transporting to central location
- Dust blinds
- Operate cleaning and floor care equipment including buffers, wet vacuums, auto scrubbers, upright vacuums and carpet extractors
- Report broken and damaged items and building maintenance needs to supervisor
- Provide recycling services including placement and collection of recycling containers, sorting recyclables, shredding and baling recycled items
- Follow HIPAA regulations
- Maintain an exterior environment free of trash and debris including patrol and litter removal
- Remove waste from exterior trash cans and transport to central location
- Clean exterior trash cans and report disrepair
- Place and service additional trash cans for events
- Provide support to other work units including exterior cleanup, graffiti removal, minor debris removal, snow sweeping and shoveling, minor building maintenance, driving truck as needed, reporting security issues to Public Safety
- Perform duties according to OSHA and OHSU Custodial Services department safety guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
