Job Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Compliance with NCAA rules if assigned to Athletics Department
- Successful completion of post-offer pre-employment physical examination and medical history check
- Compliance with University influenza vaccination requirement if applicable
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Flexible availability for on-call shifts
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education required
- No previous experience required
- Completed degree(s) from accredited institution may substitute for experience on a year for year basis
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to perform custodial duties
Job Duties
- Performs general routine custodial duties such as dusting mopping and vacuuming
- Cleans restrooms and restocks paper and soap supplies
- Performs routine maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies
- Empties trash receptacles disposes of trash into compactors or dumpsters and bags trash for proper disposal
- Unlocks doors ensures doors are locked after cleaning areas
- Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff including submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels
- Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures
