Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in custodial work preferred
- ability to lift up to fifty pounds
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- availability to work varied hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- ability to work independently
- ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- Enjoy a job well done and making things sparkle
- have basic to intermediate skills in custodial practices
- able to lift items of at least fifty pounds
- able to stand or walk for up to six hours
- able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- able to work mornings, mid-shift, evenings, weekends, and during special events
- able to work independently with little supervision
Job Duties
- Perform routine custodial tasks at special events
- perform routine cleaning tasks at city facilities such as the municipal building, golf course, summit park, fire department, cooper creek event center, service department, parks and grounds maintenance building, recreation center, and sports center
- maintain cleanliness in designated areas
- manage waste disposal and recycling efforts
- conduct basic maintenance of custodial equipment
- prepare facilities before and after events
- follow safety protocols in handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
