- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions
- ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffer/sweeper
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions
- ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffer/sweeper
- one year or more of paid custodial experience
- possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit
Job Duties
- Washes floors, furnishings, equipment, windows, doors and walls with cleaning solutions and disinfectants
- prepares cleaning solutions and disinfectants
- cleans and scrubs basins, sinks, lavatories and toilets
- replenishes soap, tissue, towels and similar supplies
- dusts, wipes and cleans cabinets, closets, shelves, vents, showers, pictures and desks
- collects trash and empties garbage
- picks up trash from outside of buildings
- sweeps, mops and dusts floors, strips floor of old wax, applies new wax and buffs
- performs related duties as required
