Job Requirements
- Completion of formal or informal education or experience which assures the ability to read, write, and speak sufficiently to perform job duties
- possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver’s license
- ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds
- willingness to work outdoors in various temperatures and environmental conditions
- availability to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, some evenings and weekends as needed
- availability for summer hours Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 6 pm
- ability to comply with MCCCD regulations
- ability to travel to multiple MCCCD locations as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Formal or informal education or experience to read, write, and speak sufficiently to perform job duties
- experience working in a college or large school environment preferred
- experience providing customer service in medium to large facilities preferred
- two years experience with industrial cleaning methods and chemicals preferred
- two years experience operating custodial equipment preferred
- two years experience with proper use, storage, dilution, and labeling of cleaning products preferred
- one year experience in conducting quality control checks preferred
Job Duties
- Sweeps, mops, strips, and waxes floors
- vacuums and cleans carpets
- cleans whiteboards, dusts, and polishes furniture
- maintains restrooms and break rooms
- cleans cobwebs inside and outside
- performs minor maintenance tasks and reports needed repairs
- arranges furniture and equipment for events
- inspects and maintains small custodial equipment
- empties and cleans trash cans and recycling receptacles
- uses electric vehicles to haul trash and equipment when necessary
- performs other duties as assigned
