Job Requirements
- Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license
- ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds
- ability to work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
- knowledge of hazardous materials handling
- availability to work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some evenings and weekends
- summer hours Monday through Thursday, 7am to 6pm
- willingness to travel to different MCCCD campuses
- successful completion of application with detailed employment and professional references
- no sponsorship for work visas available
Job Qualifications
- Completion of formal or informal education sufficient for reading, writing, and speaking to perform job duties
- experience working in a college or large school environment
- experience providing customer service in medium to large facilities
- two years experience with industrial cleaning methods and chemicals
- two years experience operating custodial equipment
- two years experience with proper use, storage, dilution, and labeling of cleaning products
- one year experience conducting quality control checks
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, strip, and wax floors
- vacuum and clean carpets
- clean whiteboards, dust, and polish furniture
- maintain restrooms and break rooms
- clean cobwebs inside and outside
- perform minor maintenance tasks and report needed repairs
- arrange furniture and equipment for events
- inspect and conduct routine maintenance of custodial equipment
- empty and clean trash cans and recycle receptacles
- use electric vehicles to haul trash and equipment
- perform other related duties as assigned
