Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- age 18 or older
- prior experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred
- ability to operate light to heavy cleaning equipment
- physical capability to perform demanding tasks including lifting and prolonged standing
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- willingness to adhere to safety standards and use provided safety equipment
- ability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility for overtime and weekends
- commitment to the Christian mission of LeTourneau University
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent fund of knowledge
- good working knowledge of the English language
- must be age 18 or older
- possessing an enthusiastic and mature Christian faith
- commitment to the development of a dynamic, growing Christian university
- ability to work well with student workers and support their training
- willingness to follow institutional policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Minor maintenance and repairs of custodial equipment
- performing custodial tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, trash collecting, window cleaning, washroom and shower sanitizing, carpet cleaning and extracting
- using light, medium, and heavy equipment like extractors and floor buffers
- proper usage of LeTourneau University supplied chemicals
- washroom and shower sanitizing, carpet cleaning, hard floor scrubbing, stripping and recoating
- special event set-up and equipment/light furniture moving
- proper usage of safety equipment supplied by LeTourneau University
- working with assigned student workers and assisting training
- training and supervising assigned student workers including on the job training
- monitoring and retraining student workers in job procedures
- implementing and complying with LeTourneau University policies
- following instructions from the Warehouse and Service Coordinator
- moving and setting up for special events such as tables and chairs
- moving equipment with assistance such as extractor, floor buffer, wet/dry vacuum, and carpet fan
- moving light furniture including chairs, disassembled beds, and small boxes
- performing physical motions including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, scrubbing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, and continuous standing and walking
