Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum three months experience as a custodian preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions
Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation
Occasionally perform tasks standing and walking up to 100 percent of time
Reach, bend, kneel and have high level of manual dexterity
Occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and blood borne pathogens
Required to wear personal protective equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
Required to work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to use personal protective equipment as required
Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed

Job Duties

Clean table, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances in employee break room and donor waiting area
Vacuum carpets, dust furniture and remove trash
Clean windows and doors daily
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, painting, minor plumbing and carpentry tasks
Monitor grounds and parking lots and pick up litter
Assist in recycling and repackaging shipping materials
Inspect and clean restrooms throughout the day, replace paper and soap supplies
Receive supplies from vendors and move supplies to proper storage areas
Maintain clean and efficient work environment and ensure supplies and forms are available
Follow all health safety and environmental and OSHA policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information
May be cross-trained in other areas
Perform job-related duties as assigned
