Job Requirements

- 6 months related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs

Job Duties
- Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums all floor space, porches, stairs, walls, duct and beam work, exhibit structures, overheads and restroom fixtures
- Waxes and buffs historic wood flooring in facilities, following specified maintenance schedule
- Cleans windows and other glass as necessary
- Polishes and maintains brass fixtures, wood trim, and other surfaces
- Replaces light bulbs in fixtures, overheads, and exhibit structures
- Empties trash and garbage containers
- Cleans debris from sidewalks and porches as required
- Notifies management concerning need for repairs or additions to the facilities
- Responds to questions from visitors, tenants and rental customers regarding the facility and general information
- May perform detailed cleaning of facilities following rental events
- Completes simple maintenance tasks using basic equipment such as hammers, drills, paint brushes, etc. as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
