Job Requirements
- Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work
- ability to demonstrate physical ability to perform manual work
- willingness to undergo pre-employment background check
- capability to work in an essential position including emergencies
- valid U.S. work authorization at time of hire and throughout employment

- knowledge of cleaning products and equipment operation
- understanding of safety procedures related to custodial work
- reliable and detail-oriented work ethic
Job Duties
- Clean lobbies, bathrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, billiards area, and administrative area of the union by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and polishing
- mix or blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary
- responsible for set-ups and break downs associated with daily events in meeting rooms, lobbies, ballrooms, and exterior grounds
- clean, strip, wax and polish floors using industrial size mops and commercial type floor machines
- fill commercial floor machines with cleaning solutions of proper concentration, empty unused solution into appropriate container
- clean floor machines and check and recharge batteries
- wash, rinse and dry industrial size wet mops, dust mops, and commercial floor pads
- operate wet dry vacuuming carpet extraction equipment and other commercial equipment as required for cleaning and shampooing carpets
- empty exterior and interior trash and recycling containers, transport waste material to outdoor refuse containers or recycling containers as needed
- clean, decontaminate, and deodorize waste containers using proper materials according to label directions
- perform other duties as assigned by Building Services supervisors, Managers, or other administrative personnel within the department
