Job Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history
- Compliance with university influenza vaccination requirement if working in patient care or clinical areas
- Ability to work early morning shifts from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday through Friday
- Ability to perform physical tasks including snow removal and light maintenance
- Dependable and motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Represented by a labor union and subject to the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education
- No previous experience required
- Degree(s) from accredited institution may substitute for experience
- Physical endurance to cover large areas
- Keen eye for detail and diligence
- Positive attitude
- Good team player
Job Duties
- Perform general custodial duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and restroom cleaning
- Restock paper and soap supplies and empty trash receptacles
- Operate custodial equipment and perform routine maintenance on tools and supplies
- Unlock and secure doors as needed during cleaning
- Report maintenance needs and supply levels to supervisors
- Promote safety and environmental best practices in all tasks
- Assist in training new custodial staff on standard procedures
