Job Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor and operate mechanical equipment
- Ability to access all areas of the facilities
- Ability to handle a heavy workload in a hectic environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to perform various physical tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning and custodial methods and techniques including the use of chemicals and equipment
- Previous custodial experience in a similar facility preferred
- Reasonable accommodations will be considered for those with disabilities
Job Duties
- Clean all areas of the facility including floors, bathrooms, walls, windows, offices, stairs, seating areas, ramps and walkways
- Follow policies and procedures for the housekeeping team
- Operate facilities equipment including hand power-tools, floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums
- Understand the facility layout to maximize usage such as storage and cleaning methods
- Assist with implementing a routine preventive cleaning and maintenance program
- Assist staff as needed in all areas of operations
- Perform other tasks as assigned
