Job Requirements
- At least six months previous experience as a custodian, building maintenance, or related field
- additional education or experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements
- satisfactory physical condition as determined by a county-approved physical examination
- employees are subject to 24-hour on call availability and must be able to work any shift at any location as required
- possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Washington State Driver's license
- ability to successfully complete all required background investigations including fingerprinting
- certain positions may require or have the ability to obtain licenses such as Class III Boiler Operations License and State Asbestos Worker Certification

- willingness to undergo ongoing training and certification in custodial best practices
Job Duties
- Know your assignments for the day and prepare your equipment and tools for the day's work
- work independently or as part of a team and know your role and prepare for it
- complete your assigned work and report this to your custodial lead
- close out your day's work, cleaning your equipment and tools before storing for the night and closing out your work orders for the work completed
- perform floor and carpet maintenance tasks
- maintain cleanliness in public-facing areas and employee workspaces
- participate in general housekeeping duties during special circumstances or projects
