Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
  • ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • willingness to work indoors under normal and sometimes challenging conditions
  • must be able to operate cleaning machinery
  • must adhere to federal employment policies including drug-free workplace
  • male candidates born after December 31, 1959 must register with Selective Service
  • must be able to pass background checks and security clearances as required
  • direct deposit of pay mandatory

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of proper uses of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • ability to remove various stains from multiple surfaces
  • ability to safely operate floor and carpet cleaning machinery
  • ability to read and understand labels and instructions
  • ability to work independently under general direction
  • experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
  • strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 45 lbs independently
  • ability to climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks
  • excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Clean lodging corridors, public areas, and back of house areas
  • work closely with housekeeping team to support efficient and safe housekeeping operations
  • remove soiled linen and terry from guest rooms
  • transport linens to and from laundry and housekeeping closets
  • receive and swap linen with off-site laundry service
  • take inventory of linens and terry
  • remove and transport trash to dumpsters
  • dry mop and wet mop floors
  • use safety signage and follow safety protocols while cleaning
  • clean and sanitize public and employee bathrooms
  • wash ceiling fixtures, windows, dust drapes and blinds
  • remove scuffs and marks from walls
  • arrange furniture neatly
  • empty vacuum cleaners
  • maintain housekeeping cart
  • control master keys and maintain guest security
  • assist with mattress rotation and deep cleaning projects
  • initiate maintenance work requests
  • deliver items to guests as directed
  • strip, wax, and polish tile flooring periodically
  • report missing or broken articles
  • move furniture to clean underneath
  • collect and handle lost and found items
  • maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
  • provide world class customer service
  • assist customers and communicate positively
  • solve problems quickly
  • adhere to safety regulations and standards
  • report workplace hazards and incidents
  • support EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment
  • perform other related duties
