Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license
  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Undergo pre-employment and periodic physical examinations
  • Subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing
  • Willingness to work shift hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national
  • Comply with selective service registration if applicable
  • Agree to direct deposit of pay

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with management methods and techniques
  • Ability to delegate work effectively
  • Technical expertise in lodging housekeeping operations and program management
  • Skill in developing procedures aligned with housekeeping and lodging goals
  • Ability to coordinate programs with other managers
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills considering budgetary and personnel factors
  • Effective communication skills to justify program goals and motivate employees
  • Knowledge of relevant budget, personnel, and labor relations rules
  • Understanding of housekeeping methods, cleaning techniques, and equipment
  • Familiarity with cleaning agents and new developments in housekeeping

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning, organizing, conducting, and managing a medium to large lodging housekeeping program
  • Indirectly supervise custodial and laborer staff through subordinate supervisors
  • Formulate, implement, coordinate, and control comprehensive lodging housekeeping programs
  • Hire, promote, motivate, discipline, and separate employees
  • Approve leave, schedule work, coordinate operations, and resolve workplace issues
  • Develop and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Monitor performance recognition and internal awards programs
  • Occasionally clean and restock lodging facilities
  • Drive vehicles as part of daily duties
