Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and in-room appliances
- Basic computer skills including Property Management System software
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and schedules
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals including Safety Data Sheets
- Familiarity with operating in-room appliances such as coffee maker, television, clock radio, telephone
- Ability to utilize Property Management System software to update room status
- Capability to accurately complete daily room reports and assignment sheets
- Understanding of cleaning procedures according to NGIS Housekeeping Manual
- Skill in safely using common hand and powered tools
- Ability to prioritize assignments respecting guest privacy protocols
- Proficiency in using web-based Learning Management System and software for training completion
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Job Duties
- Provide quality and efficient housekeeping services to guest rooms and common areas
- Operate and utilize cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals safely
- Update room status using Property Management System software and in-room telephone system
- Complete daily room status reports and housekeeping assignment sheets accurately
- Follow cleaning procedures as per the NGIS Housekeeping Manual and program policy guidance
- Apply sound judgment to schedule and prioritize work assignments respecting No Service/Do-Not-Disturb requests
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English with management, staff, and guests
