Job Requirements
- Completion of 10th grade
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to perform physical labor and heavy-duty cleaning
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed

- Ability to maintain professional conduct with patients and staff

Job Duties
- Perform various housekeeping and heavy-duty cleaning throughout all Hospital buildings and surrounding areas
- Maintain a pleasant and cooperative service attitude towards patients, families of patients, visitors, medical center staff, co-workers and management
- Perform the 10-step cleaning process including knocking, greeting, emptying waste, high dusting, sanitizing, spot cleaning, restroom cleaning, dust mopping, room inspection, damp mopping and interacting with patients and families
- High dust all above shoulder surfaces and ceiling vents/lights
- Damp wipe all ledges, furnishings, furniture, lights, shelves, light switches, telephones, door knobs
- Spot clean walls, doors and windows/glass
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms/restrooms and restock disposable items
- Dust mop floors using chemically treated mop
- Vacuum carpeted floors and upholstery
- Remove spots from carpet and damp mop floors using prescribed cleaning agents
- Report maintenance needs in patient rooms, exam/treatment rooms, restrooms, offices, labs, departments, public and ancillary areas
- Perform check-out/transfer cleaning including stripping beds, removing patient supplies and proper room setup
- Perform Between-Case-Cleaning and Terminal Cleaning in labor and delivery and operating rooms
- Inventory and distribute linen supplies and equipment to user units
- Wash ceiling surfaces
- Clean elevators and stairwells
- Clean parking lots, garages, entrances and sweep sidewalks
- Wash interior windows
- Defrost and clean refrigerators
