Job Duties
- have basic knowledge of acceptable cleaning standards related to the cleaning and maintenance of the agency's facilities and contracting customer facilities
- operate custodial and janitorial equipment such as buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor strippers
- monitor inventory and communicate materials and supplies needs to management
- communicate effectively with staff, co-workers, and customers in an appropriate and ethical manner
- prepare cleaning solutions according to proper procedures
- adhere to OSHA standards for proper use of chemicals and equipment
- sweep, vacuum, dust, and mop floors and offices
- empty trash containers and replace trash bags
- discard trash appropriately
- clean restrooms following procedures
- adhere to and enforce safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury and damage
- ensure all operations comply with company policies
- embrace the agency's core values in work and community
- contribute to department and company goals
- comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
