Job Duties
- clean classrooms, offices, halls, and other rooms
- arrange furniture
- sweep, scrub, mop, strip, wax, and polish floors
- dust floors and ceilings
- apply sealer to cement floors
- vacuum, shampoo, and steam clean rugs and carpets
- vacuum drapes
- clean and properly maintain restrooms
- empty and clean trash and garbage cans
- clean chalkboards and chalk trays
- dust and wash furniture, bookshelves, woodwork, fixtures, counters, and equipment
- polish metal works, woodwork, and furniture
- wash walls and windows
- clean glass and mirrors
- sweep concrete surfaces/walkways adjacent to school buildings
- empty pencil sharpeners
- clean lights and light fixtures
- wash outside of buildings
- participate in thorough cleaning of college plant and facilities during recess/vacation periods
- maintain supplies
- make minor repairs
- move furniture and equipment
- secure buildings
- report safety hazards
- operate a district vehicle
- train and supervise student help
- perform other related duties as assigned
