Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years hospital engineering maintenance experience at senior level
- Experience in hospital project and construction management
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, NFPA and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and staff
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance and energy management programs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years hospital engineering maintenance experience at Director or Assistant Director level required
- Experience in hospital project and construction management preferred
- Working knowledge of the Joint Commission, NFPA, and other healthcare regulatory agencies
Job Duties
- Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies and procedures
- Monitor flow and quality of work to assure timely completion and adherence to standards and regulations using computerized maintenance and energy control programs
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets
- Provide guidance, training and motivation to staff
- Maintain effective client rapport
- Monitor work performance and prepare personnel performance evaluations
