Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent diploma
  • three years related work experience in school food service
  • good physical health and ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
  • ability to bend, stoop, walk and reach overhead
  • proficient in Word and Excel
  • ability to operate a cash register
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • willingness to acquire continuing education hours
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent diploma
  • three years school food service or related experience
  • proficient computer skills including Word and Excel
  • ability to operate a cash register
  • budgeting skills
  • personnel management skills
  • willingness to attend summer workshops

Job Duties

  • Provide direction and oversight of the school cafeteria
  • plan and monitor daily cafeteria operations
  • demonstrate leadership, organization and collaboration skills
  • maintain food safety certification
  • manage personnel and budgeting tasks
  • complete required paperwork in compliance with SDE
  • promote friendly service and a positive work atmosphere
