Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the workplace
  • Strong understanding of food safety and preparation protocols
  • Capability to lead and motivate a team
  • Physical stamina to perform kitchen duties
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Skill in understanding and articulating Chipotle's dedication to Food With Integrity values
  • Skillful in the primary language(s) commonly spoken at the place of work
  • A high school diploma or a comparable credential
  • Restaurant experience is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Safeguard the quality of food by cooking and prepping meals to order while strictly following kitchen protocols
  • Oversee food waste and inventory levels, addressing any issues with the quality of food as required
  • Foster a united team spirit between the back-end and front-end crew members
  • Encourage the development of team members for future leadership positions in the kitchen
  • Ensure effective communication with Crew members and customers to uphold superior customer service standards and maximize operational output
  • Keep the kitchen area tidy and germ-free
  • Watch over kitchen tools to verify they are adequately maintained and promptly repaired if any breakdowns happen
  • Observe and implement safety precautions to uphold a secure setting and avoid accidents
  • Meet requirements by filling out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) completely and conducting Inventory Rotation following the FIFO approach
