Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, culinary arts, or related fields or equivalent experience
  • Valid ServSafe certification
  • Experience supporting or coordinating dining technology, systems, and supply chain initiatives
  • Experience within a dining environment in higher education preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinate ordering, inventory management, and material handling processes
  • Monitor item quality control and food cost logistics to maintain efficiency and cost savings
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships
  • negotiate pricing, delivery, and food-saving initiatives
  • Research and implement innovative products and sustainable sourcing practices
  • Support Chefs and Managers in ensuring all purchasing needs are met in a timely manner
  • Manage DHS technology systems, including CBORD NetMenu, and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain the CBORD NetMenu system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recipes, item databases, nutritional information, allergens, and costing
  • Oversee recipe and item maintenance, working with Chefs and Managers to ensure menu accuracy and consistency across units
  • Lead and coordinate the inventory process across DHS units, ensuring proper setup, accuracy, and timely reconciliation within CBORD
  • Oversee setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT assets such as desktops, laptops, printers, and company phones
  • Serve as primary liaison with the Office of Information Technology to align DHS technology with campus standards
  • Provide training and support to DHS staff on system functionality
