Job Requirements

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Possess two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experience managing people and resolving problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work hands-on with staff and operations
  • Willingness to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for designated units as assigned by the Aramark Executive Chef to ensure consistent quality
  • Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, address discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Maintain proper handling of all food products and kitchen equipment to ensure compliance with food safety and kitchen standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel culinary staff
  • Resolve problems and provide open communication among team members
  • Recommend discipline as appropriate
