Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years event culinary experience required
- Basic understanding of kitchen operation within a hotel
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary education or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of event culinary experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership experience in a kitchen setting
- Basic knowledge of cost control
- Ability to use computer systems related to culinary operations
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Produce consistent, quality culinary products that meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner
- Assist in department training and development
- Assume department responsibilities during Sous Chef's absence
- Monitor payroll costs and overtime
- Supervise hourly cooks
- Maintain basic cost control procedures
- Communicate effectively with the culinary and broader hotel team
