Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years of culinary supervisory experience
  • advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to hear and speak effectively
  • excellent vision for safety
  • physical ability to lift, push, pull and carry items
  • ability to bend knees frequently
  • capacity for continuous standing
  • mobility to travel 30-50 feet regularly
  • literacy and comprehension skills to read and write records and special requests

Job Qualifications

  • high school education or equivalent
  • one to two years of related experience in culinary supervision or management
  • advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • strong problem-solving abilities
  • competency in food and beverage management
  • ability to read, write and analyze budgets
  • moderate hearing and excellent vision for safety and communication
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • supervise the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food to ensure a quality, consistent product
  • supervise human resources in kitchen production and preparation areas to attract, retain and motivate employees while providing a safe work environment
  • train, develop, empower, coach and counsel kitchen staff
  • schedule and supervise kitchen maintenance and sanitation to meet or exceed regulatory standards
  • assist in monitoring and controlling labor and food costs
  • promote accident prevention programs to minimize liabilities
  • ensure compliance with all federal, state, corporate and franchise food safety and sanitation regulations
