Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of relevant culinary experience
  • Post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years' experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices
  • Experience managing people and solving problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work flexible event-based hours

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units
  • Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, address discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Maintain proper handling of all food products and equipment to ensure food safety and kitchen standards
  • Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are upheld at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline as appropriate
  • Adapt to changing job duties or new assignments as necessary to meet operational needs
  • Work event-based hours including evenings and weekends as required
