Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years of experience in a culinary or food service role
- Post-high school education in culinary arts preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and ensure food safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Ability to maintain high sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
- Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
- Advanced knowledge of food preparation principles and practices
- Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- Willingness to work hands-on with staff and operations
- Availability for event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for unit(s) as assigned by the Aramark Executive Chef to ensure consistent quality
- Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage
- Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment to meet food safety and kitchen standards
- Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards at all times
- Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
- Resolve problems and provide open communication within the team
- Recommend discipline as appropriate
