Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of kitchen management experience
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Check staffing levels and ensure all employees are in uniform and on time
  • Monitor the staff and ensure all guests are being cared for during their visit
  • Manage inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
  • Hire new staff and provide training to facilitate quick acclimation
  • Streamline kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
  • Work with the Head Chef to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
  • Set regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verify that staff maintain sanitation levels
  • Create schedules for all kitchen staff
  • Track kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
  • Support covering days off and working the line during the slow season
