Job Requirements

  • Prior supervisory and culinary service experience in hospitality industry
  • fine dining experience preferred
  • working knowledge of dining etiquette, food handling techniques, and high level of customer service
  • prior professional cooking experience
  • knowledge of proper food service sanitation techniques
  • ServSafe Certification strongly preferred
  • at least two years experience cooking in hospitality industry
  • high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

Job Duties

  • Purchase all food products and cleaning supplies as directed
  • ensure food and supply stock is maintained regularly
  • actively cook during peak times and special events
  • maintain organized records including production, special diets, time and temperature
  • process invoices timely and collaborate with business office on billing
  • review and be familiar with resident dining restrictions
  • manage and schedule kitchen staff for efficiency
  • ensure food consistency and quality through tasting and feedback
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation and safety
  • assist in hiring, time keeping, performance appraisals and staff management
  • perform additional duties as assigned by Culinary Service Director
