Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years' experience in a related culinary role
  • Post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage kitchen staff and resolve conflicts
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years' experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experience managing people and handling workplace challenges
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations
  • Availability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units as directed by the Executive Chef to ensure consistent quality
  • Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, address discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Maintain proper handling of all food products and equipment to comply with food safety and kitchen standards
  • Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are upheld at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline as appropriate
