Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years' experience in a related culinary role
- Post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and resolve conflicts
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years' experience in a related culinary position
- Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
- Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
- Experience managing people and handling workplace challenges
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- Willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations
- Availability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units as directed by the Executive Chef to ensure consistent quality
- Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, address discrepancies, and assist with storage
- Maintain proper handling of all food products and equipment to comply with food safety and kitchen standards
- Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are upheld at all times
- Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline as appropriate
