Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a kitchen supervisory or lead cook role
- Serve Safe certification or willingness to obtain it within 6 months
- ability to stand and walk long periods
- ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- ability to work any shift including holidays
- excellent communication skills in English
- bilingual Spanish skills preferred
- ability to work under pressure and solve problems
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge and compliance with health, safety and labor laws

- thorough knowledge of licensing and labor laws, health and safety regulations, food handling laws, fire regulations and first aid procedures
Job Duties
- Ensure high levels of food quality, presentation and cost control
- responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Heart of House
- ensure on-hand inventory reflects par levels set by Kitchen Manager
- expedite the line during peak periods and work in a dynamic capacity to maintain low ticket times and ensure properly prepared menu items
- follow recipe and product specifications for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, slicing, storing and serving food
- supervise and ensure recipe adherence by all kitchen staff during shifts
- safely operate a variety of kitchen equipment
- control food waste, loss and usage per policies
- assist Kitchen Manager to maintain sanitation and cleanliness
- set par lists daily and verify completion
- prepare food to order respecting guest specifications
- assist in verifying food storage and rotation
- assist Kitchen Manager in performance reviews
- complete thorough line-checks and taste testing
- assist in ongoing training of team members
- place food orders in absence of Manager
- assist in weekly inventory
- act as Kitchen Manager when needed
- maintain 100% availability of all menu items prepared to standard recipes
- become certified in all stations within 90 days
