Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- safe food handling certification
- minimum of 2-5 years culinary leadership experience preferred
- formal culinary training or associate degree preferred
- ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- ability to stand, bend, stoop for long periods
- flexibility to work fluctuating schedules including long hours and hot conditions
- team-oriented mindset
- excellent communication skills
- capacity to handle pressure effectively
Job Qualifications

- formal culinary training or associate degree in culinary preferred
- safe food handling certification
- minimum of 2-5 years cooking experience in a culinary leadership role preferred
- strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills

- experience calculating figures and performing mathematical functions
Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs
- resolve customer problems and concerns personally
- ensure that food stock levels within the culinary department are sufficient according to hotel occupancy and function forecasts
- provide support to junior kitchen staff with line cooking, food preparation, and plating
- develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand
- recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet kitchen standards
- create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance
- adhere to and implement sanitation and safety regulations
- manage the kitchen team in the executive chef’s absence
- monitor and maintain awareness of all financial budgets and goals
- ensure associate meals and dining services meet high standards
- collaborate with Food and Beverage Manager to create yearly marketing plans
- ensure proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of food preparation equipment
