Job Requirements
- high school graduate or equivalent
- a minimum of one year’s previous food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution, or full service restaurant under the guidance of a qualified chef
- ability to perform repetitive tasks
- ability to efficiently organize production schedules to meet operational demands
- ability to exercise good judgment and initiative
- willingness to adhere to HACCP and OSHA standards
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- ability to supervise and train associates
- no licensure or certification required
Job Qualifications

- vocational training in quantity food preparation and sanitation preferred
- a minimum of one year’s previous food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution, or full service restaurant under the guidance of a qualified chef
- ability to promote good customer relations by providing quality products in an attractive environment
- strong organizational and supervisory skills
- ability to work thoroughly, with attention to detail and consistency
Job Duties
- work from weekly menus and production sheets using approved recipes to prepare food items
- observe routine work schedules and follow system and departmental procedures
- carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks
- exercise initiative and sound judgment performing daily and assigned duties
- prioritize and correct problems as needed
- maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils in a sanitary manner
- supervise the training and direction of associates
