Job Requirements

  • Prior supervisory and culinary service experience in the hospitality industry
  • fine dining experience preferred
  • working knowledge of dining etiquette, food handling techniques, and customer service
  • prior professional cooking experience
  • knowledge of proper food service sanitation techniques
  • ServSafe Certification strongly preferred
  • at least two years experience cooking in hospitality
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Purchase all food products and cleaning supplies as directed
  • ensure food and supply stock is maintained regularly
  • stand in to actively cook during peak times and special events
  • maintain comprehensive production and regulatory record keeping
  • process invoices timely and collaborate with business office manager
  • review residents dining restrictions
  • manage and schedule kitchen staff efficiently
  • ensure food consistency and quality through tasting and resident feedback
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
  • assist in hiring, timekeeping, performance appraisals and management
  • perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Service Director
