Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years' culinary experience
- Post-secondary education in culinary arts preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Effective communication abilities
- Flexibility to work varied hours including events, evenings, and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years' experience in a related culinary position
- Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
- Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- Willingness to be hands on with staff and operations
- Ability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units as directed by the Aramark Executive Chef
- Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage
- Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment to maintain food safety and kitchen standards
- Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards at all times
- Train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline as appropriate
- Adapt to changing job duties and perform event-based work hours including evenings and weekends
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency
