Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years' culinary experience
  • Post-secondary education in culinary arts preferred
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including events, evenings, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years' experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands on with staff and operations
  • Ability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned units as directed by the Aramark Executive Chef
  • Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment to maintain food safety and kitchen standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards at all times
  • Train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline as appropriate
  • Adapt to changing job duties and perform event-based work hours including evenings and weekends
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency
